Blade Runner
1982 · Film
A rebellion staged by superhuman androids brings reluctant bounty hunter Rick Deckard out of retirement. The tech company responsible for their engineering doubts the efficacy of his control methods and shows their concern with an android so realistic she doesn't realize she's synthetic. Her very reality is enough to throw the seasoned detective into an existential tailspin, even as he fulfills the rigors of his ruthless job. One by one, the fugitive rebels chip away at Deckard's beliefs and leave him questioning the integrity of his own existence.
